The week will feature personalities leading freedom tech development and usage, such as Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, who started the Nostr.world Unconferences; Adam Back, an original cypherpunk and CEO of Blockstream; and unique personalities and voices of Bitcoin maximalism like Preston Pysh and Giacomo Zucco.
One of the highlights of Riga Bitcoin Week will be the presentation of "Anything to Say?"—a traveling bronze sculpture and art installation by Italian artist Davide Dormino, which features the whistleblowers Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, and Chelsea Manning. This statue symbolizes the importance of freedom of speech and its role in empowering individuals worldwide. This event underscores the significance of giving a voice to those silenced and celebrates the positive impact of Open Source Software in promoting freedom.
Riga Bitcoin Week is more than just a series of events; it is a celebration of freedom technology and its potential to transform societies. In moments like these, it is crucial to give a platform to those who have been silenced and to promote the tools that enable free expression and innovation.
Our collaboration with the Human Rights Foundation highlights our commitment to promoting human rights and freedom through technology. This partnership ensures that the events of Riga Bitcoin Week resonate with the core values of free expression and decentralized innovation.
